Week One

Anna said it all when she came home from school on Friday, "Well, we survived the first week!"

Yes, we have been here a week and the kids are adjusting to their new school. Gym class, they tell me, is much harder (not a bad thing), and they have it every other day (big change from the Bow curriculum). Gabriel has been placed into 7th grade math, since the most advanced 6th grade math class was using the textbook he had from last year in 5th grade. When I told them he was good at math, I guess they didn't believe me. Now, after acing a placement test and talking to his math teacher from last year, they do believe me.

Bogdan loves his new job and has survived his first week as well.

We have a bid on our house in NH and have made a counter offer. We are excited about a potential buyer, but also want to be firm on our asking price. Keep this all in prayer!

We have heard about both the intense heat and rousing thundershowers in NH. Here, we have had lots of heat and afternoon showers.

We have found a few area churches that we are trying out. Hopefully, we'll find one that we can fit into. There's no place like Ste. Marie's, but I'm sure we'll find a nice parish soon.

We are off to a park for the day, enjoying the last weeks of summer.

Thanks for reading!!
