Closing day, maybe?

Well, nothing like leaving things to the last minute! The house in NH is set to close today and we haven't heard of any changes in those plans. So, as of 10am this morning, we should be homeless. But, hopefully, not for long.

Our house in TN is set to close at 2pm, but we have yet to receive confirmation that the closing is actually happening today. There were a few snags along the way this week. The appraisal came in later than expected and just yesterday we found out the appraiser forgot to sign the appraisal! So, we are still waiting to hear this morning if they got that signature and if everything is smooth sailing. Personally, it's been rough waters from the get-go, so we'll see if anything happens! I have confidence it can happen.

We are still packing up and moving out of the condo today, regardless of the closing. We were told that we had to be out of here, as they are doing a big (think TV cameras) "Parade of Homes" this weekend and they NEED our condo vacant. They are hoping to lure in some prospective buyers, and I do hope they can, the economy is just as bad here as elsewhere.

So, if we do not close today, then it's the Comfort Inn for us tonight!
