You're moving when??

So here's our latest update.

The moving company will come next week, August 11 and pack up our whole house. Yes, it's such good news for Karen that she could actually cry. Then after packing the house they will load it in the moving van. At which point, the Vacaliuc crew will be heading out.

We hope to leave on August 13th and take 2 days in getting down there. Our temporary housing from ORNL will begin on Saturday, August 15th and we'll be in that until we close on a house down there. Bogdan's new job at ORNL begins on August 17th, the schools start the same day.

We did find a house and have set a tentative closing date for October 1st. They are also open to us leasing the house until it is closed on. So, that's an option. We have had a few showings of our NH house and are hopeful the right buyer is coming soon.

Many of you have asked how the kids are taking all this transition, the answer being, as best as can be expected. I think once we are down there it will be a grand adventure for all.

Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement, your gifts and cards to the kids and all the goodbyes. Not goodbye for good, just goodbye for now.

  2. Hi Guys,
The Nover's are sad that we missed your party. We have had so much going on. We thought you would be here a little longer and are sad we have not gotten a chance to see you. Maybe at mass this weekend. We will keep all of you in our prayers for a smooth transition.

  3. Karen,
My name is Andrea Souza. My husband is Judy Christopher's nephew and we happen to live in Oak Ridge. We are very ctive members of St. Mary's Parish here. My two younger boys attend St. Mary's School which is run by the Dominican sisters. I am in a family choir and we sould love to have your talents included in our group. We practice on Fridays at 6:30. Please contact me when you arrive in Oak Ridge and I will show you around and introduce you to tons of people in our wonderful parish. We're the only Souzas in the parish directory or the Oak Ridge phone book.
